Judith Lynn Stillman

Portraits in Song

Portraits in Song brings together three exceptional artists for an evening that celebrates musical storytelling in a vivid and expressive way. Rhode Island College’s own Judith Lynn Stillman appears as both curator and performer. Stillman is a pianist, composer, filmmaker, and longtime Artist in Residence at the college. She is a graduate of The Juilliard School where she earned her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees. Her career includes international performances, collaborations with distinguished musicians, and a wide range of creative projects that unite music with film, visual storytelling, and themes of social responsibility.

The program features Will Liverman, an American operatic baritone whose talent and versatility have earned him wide recognition. A graduate of Juilliard, Liverman has appeared in major roles at the Metropolitan Opera, including a leading role in the acclaimed production of Fire Shut Up in My Bones. His voice carries a rich, expressive warmth that brings depth and immediacy to his performances and has made him one of the most compelling young vocal artists working today.

Kiera Duffy, the internationally respected soprano, completes the trio of featured artists. Duffy has appeared with many of the world’s leading orchestras and opera companies and she is known for her clarity of tone, technical mastery, and interpretive sensitivity. Her repertoire spans early music through contemporary works and she currently serves on the faculty of the Eastman School of Music.

Together, Stillman, Liverman, and Duffy will offer a program that highlights the expressive power of the human voice in partnership with the piano. The event takes place on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 4:00 PM in Sapinsley Hall at the Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts at Rhode Island College. Admission is free and registration is required. Donations are welcome.
